1. Are you a charitable organisation?

Yes. Africa Heart Foundation is currently registered as a limited company with charitable objectives under UK legislation (registration number 631195). We are presently undergoing the lengthy process of registration with the Charity Commission which we anticipate will be complete within the next few months.

2. Are you affiliated to any religious movement or government?

No. In fact, our founder members and Board of Directors are from a diverse background ranging from an East African Sikh surgeon to a Catholic clergyman! We feel the diversity is a positive attribute which enriches our organisation.

3. Where will my money go?

Any donated funds will be used directly for patient care or procurement of essential equipment. We have an impressive record so far with 100% of all donated funds being directly utilised towards this. 4. How can I donate?

Financial donations can be done by a variety of methods. To allow us to reclaim Gift Aid we advocate donations through www.justgiving.com. We can use Paypal if you do not wish to reveal your credit card details. Cheques can be mailed to our physical address in London . Should you wish to use your credit card then please download the donation form and fax it. Alternatively you can email it to funds@africahearfoundation.org. For donations in kind especially regarding equipment please contact our Fund Raising Secretary on the above email address.

5. How can I participate in a mission or teaching programme?

We welcome all offers for training and teaching even if you wish to join a mission as a medical or nursing student on their elective period. Please email missions@africaheartfoundation.org with your request so we can discuss logistics and formalities such as registration with local regulatory bodies.

6. How do you raise funds for your mission?

We raise funds using a variety of methods ranging from charity dinner/dance evenings to relying on donations from external bodies and individuals. We have also raised money from charity auction evenings and selling Africa Heart Foundation merchandise such as calendars.
